Last Friday I took the kids to the University of Utah's gymnastics meet at The "U". The kids had a great time! Meg's friend Gracie came with us. There was a special opening presentation of the athletes--complete with Top Gun music and fireworks. This was the last home meet of the season and the two seniors were honored. Nastia Liukin--the Olympic gold medalist-- was there to support her friend, Nina Kim, a U of U gymnast. How cool is that? I didn't get a picture of her, but I did see her with my own eyes. The kids didn't get too excited about her, but I felt pretty special. There were only 15,000 people there, surely she noticed me. :)

We had to leave before dinner to get to the meet early, so I made sandwiches to eat before we left home. Well...Davis didn't want to eat his. Let's just say he got hungry...really hungry. Below is how he looked about 20 minutes after we got there.
"Mom, I'm starving...to death."Don't worry, Gracie shared her snacks with us and Davis was able to survive. He made it through the meet. You can see in the next picture that he was feeling much better after the first rotation. I took this picture of us and I think it turned out okay.

There is nothing worse than being as hungry as Davis looks in that picture..what a hoot. You'r such a good Mom, I would never think about going to the gynastics competetion at the U of U. Lynnette
